how consumers make decisions :

  1. The advertisements make use of famous actors and actresses and use bright and contrasting visuals which tempts a consumer to buy thier product(s) and thus manipulate our choices. However when we use the product we realise we've wasted our time searchig for the same product and also our money! The EXPECTATIONS and the REALITY are poles apart.

  2. I completely agree with u Veeranjan
Although we do not want to buy commodities in hurry, the very aspect of celebraties in ads influence us so much that we hardly give a thought to what we are buying.
Inspite of various steps being taken by organisations the movement gains its momentum only when we consumers are a part of it and are well aware of what they should do, hence awareness should be created in all spheres of purchases in a more concrete way.
We as CONSUMERS have to reach a LONG way to reach up to the EXPECTATIONS of being well INFORMED CONSUMERS

  3. Even I agree with the fact that the advertisements are quite misleading and we are unknowingly manipulated by them.
Many a times we buy low quality things just because of the low cost. The importance of cash memos is also ignored when we purchase in a hurry and even if we have the bill we hardly ever feel the need to preserve it.
Thanks a lot for making us aware of the following duties.

most of the time people don't read the info. given and just buy products because they see the ads and believe whatever they say.

  12. I strongly agree that advertisements mislead people.
And like Veeranjan said people, especially children are attracted seeing their favourite actor/actress advertising for the product. I have not experienced this by myself, but i saw my neighborhood boy insisting his father to buy a particular brand of product just because it was promoted by his favourite hero. So we, as consumers are supposed to check every piece of information given on the product. Not that all the ads advertised by actor/actress will mislead but we should not blindly buy them.
